Pulse Award

Winner: Emma Tiplady
University of Brighton, BA Hons 3D Materials Practice

PRODUCT: ‘SQUEEZE-ME’ MOULDABLE SLEEVE FOR DRINKING GLASSES

The judges admired her engaging, tactile and fun products which they thought would have great commercial potential.

The Squeeze-Me range is a brilliant example of inclusive design with mass commercial potential. Emma likes to make everyday objects more exciting and Squeeze-Me products are tactile, surprising and sensory. With her eye on manufacturing and getting her Squeeze-Me range into production, Emma says that she hopes to capture the attention of brands such as Habitat and Iwantoneofthose.com. The prize monies will be spent on Foolsafe rubber and developing her range to include mugs and cutlery. Pulse will provide an unrivalled opportunity to promote her range to hundreds of potential buyers at next year’s trade design show.
