Matthew has been working for Alexander McQueen and over the past five years has also been developing his own brand with an online business at www.Kavan.co.uk where he sells his products. He plans to reinvest the prize in putting his business on a more formal footing. ‘Gaining this award and its associated recognition confirms my intention to build my business.’ A skilled painter and sculpture with roots in traditional art and inspiration drawn from Barbara Hepworth he took the degree in order to learn about modern technology and integrate it into his work. |
