For many years I have had a passion for patterns and colour  trends. I developed my knowledge further as I did a surface  pattern degree which extended my passion in creating the latest designs. By doing this course I have developed my skills to become an able, competent and intelligent designer. During my degree I have developed a wide range of skills in various areas including printing, photoshop, stitch, cut work drawing and painting.I find inspiration for my next project by going on walks and  visiting trade fairs and galleries.


My most recent work was inspired by everyday kitchen objects.This work has been produced using a range of hand drawn images that are very detailed and also some very loosely drawn designs,I also like to incorporate photographic imagery in my work to create a visually inspiring piece of furnishing fabric. The colours that I have used on this design have been inspired by 1960’s kitchens to create  a vintage feel to my furnishing fabric.
