Judges Comment: Very good designs. The piece is simple but multifunctional. Will showed initiative in thoroughly researching the ergonomics. He shows a keen eye for sustainable design and understanding of material utilisation.

Winner's Comment: Materials play an important part in my design process – with an emphasis on minimalising waste without compromising the overall aesthetic. This Award is a great recognition of the work I have done over the last four years – a big thank you to my tutors for their support and Formica for selecting my design
