"Each of JANETTE MATTHEWS's textured fabrics is made from a single piece of material that can be stretched to create different effects. The geometric patterns - a nod to her first degree in maths and subsequent career in computers - evolved from her 'endless experiments with folding paper'. Initially, Janette plans to develop the fabrics into wall hangings; later she hopes to find an interiors company to manufacture them, perhaps as lampshades."
