Jun 2006 - Caroline Moiret - Caroline Moiret: susended kinetic installations, 'wearable sculpture' a
Caroline works with geomentric and natural forms, translucent colour, light and the organic, whimsical movement of air to create suspended kinetic installations, 'environments', 'wearable sculpture' and jewellery. She creates 'atmospheres': perhaps the feeling of the stillness of water and a sense of being held in suspension. Or a sort of visual music with quiet rhythms going on: crochets and quavers, notes and bars inter-playing and complementing each other. The translucent colours utilise the light as one lookes up into a space filled with colour and luminosity. A practicing psychotherapist and mountain walker (she has trecked in the Alps, High Atlas, Rockies and Himalayas), she is concerned with the existential experience, timelessness and the over-arching natural order of things.
