PRESS RELEASE ---Begins--- Paul Gray is a contemporary furniture maker who is currently completing the final year of the BA degree course at Rycotewood Furniture Centre. Paul derives inspiration for his work from machinery and technology, preferring the hard edged simplicity of construction and aesthetic to his well proportioned pieces. Paul’s pieces are designed to be adaptable as well as being able to fit into any modern domestic environment. He uses clean edges and straight lines to create a minimalist view on furniture and its clutter free presence in the home. Paul’s central piece at New Designers 2007 will be his unique view on the computer desk. With desks so often designed around office workspaces, he believes they should be designed to create a space where the whole family can interact with the home PC and feel that the desk is not just all work and no play.
