Nov 2005 - Kate Brightman - Fresh and funky designer hits the jewellery scene.
Women are no longer waiting to get a ring on their finger. They should be. Jewellery maker Kate Brightman has created a range of highly wearable yet playful, sexy and sassy rings to funk up the fingers and tease those talons. This jewellery doesn’t say something about who you are, it screams it. And with designs sure to stand out in a crowd, each item is unique – just like women themselves! Having recently graduated from Kent Institute of Art and Design, this girl’s done good, diving straight in the deep end to set up her own jewellery workshop based in up and coming seaside town Folkestone. Kate’s jewellery has an organic feel to it, taking her inspiration from the natural world. Scale also plays an important part and her collection would make even the most petite of women feel stylish and special. Kate, whose work includes jewellery items other than rings, said: “My work stands out and is noticed when it is placed on the body. Each piece requires to be touched or moved around, exciting the senses, making them playful objects." “Basically it is about making jewellery fun again while keeping it indulgent and stylish like it has been for generations.” For more information contact Kate Brightman on 07815 421653, email katebrightman@hotmail.com or visit her website at www.katebrightman.co.uk
