Oct 2006 - Lucianna Gallucci - Artist makes a N.A.M.E for herself |
|
Scrooby ceramicist Lucianna Gallucci will be exhibiting her slipcast vessels, wall pieces and paintings at two events this October. The Stoke Ceramics Art Fair (S.C.A.F) will be on 14th and 15th October and the New Artists and Makers Emporium (N.A.M.E) will be on 28th and 29th, both previews are on the Friday before. Luci (24) gained a BA Hons Decorative Arts degree from Nottingham Trent University in 2004 and has been exhibiting her work to the public since graduating. Luci said, "Slipcasting is often associated with industry so creating a handmade, individual feel is very important to me. I use simple but different decoration on each piece and leave the seam lines showing to show how the piece was made." Current Exhibitions: Thoresby Pierrepont Gallery: 15th Sept - 15th Oct 2006 Nottingham Open Annual Exhibition, Nottingham Castle: 8th Oct - 7th Nov 2006 The two shows will be open to the public from 10.00am until 5.00pm. S.C.A.F is free entry although there are a number of other activities/talks/demos occurring throughout the weekend that may require a small charge. Standard admission for N.A.M.E is £5.50, concessions and discounted tickets are £4.00 and children under 14 have free entry. Luci will be in The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery at Stoke and on Stand 19 at N.A.M.E. ...ends...
