Claire Harvey: Easily-removable
20 July 2007  –  2 March 2008

This summer, Tate Modern's Members Room becomes home to Easily-removable, a site-specific installation by 2007 Prix de Rome finalist Claire Harvey. Harvey's work often features lone figures engaged in solitary pursuits and uses everyday, disposable media such as Scotch Tape, Sticky Tack and Post-it Notes to evoke private stories and capture fleeting moments in time.

Restaurant Commission: James Aldridge Cold Mouth Prayer
18 August 2007  –  18 August 2009

Cold Mouth Prayer is a panoramic new painting, specially commissioned for Tate Modern’s Restaurant. Influenced by Renaissance landscape painting and nineteenth-century French scenic wallpaper, the artist explores his interest in the natural world as well as the ideas and imagery surrounding extreme heavy metal music. In this seductive landscape, crows exhale smoke in a scene rich in decorative flowers, yet loaded with sinister overtones.
